Three steps to the right system

You do not need to understand our catalogue first. State your process conditions and we work backwards. Leave any step blank if unsure — we advise on what is known.

How This Works

Why these three questions

Temperature determines the element

This is not optional. Below 1200 °C: resistance wire or SiC. At 1600 °C: MoSi₂. At 1800 °C: MoSi₂ or graphite. The wrong element drastically shortens service life.

Atmosphere determines the vessel

A vacuum furnace needs a sealed shell and pumping system; an atmosphere furnace needs gas handling and interlocks; a reactor must be pressure-rated. These structures are not interchangeable.

Purpose determines control strategy

Annealing prioritizes uniformity and cooling rate; sintering prioritizes profile segments and gas sequencing; testing prioritizes data acquisition accuracy. Same furnace, different control strategy, different price.
