Optics & photonics manufacturing

Guangshu has delivered precision annealing furnaces for moulded aspheric optical glass lenses, high-precision annealing furnaces, integrated uniform-temperature heating stages and a 1000 °C optical-fibre drawing furnace. What these share: reaching the temperature is not the hard part — holding the whole workpiece to within a tiny temperature spread is. Surface figure error in a lens is extremely sensitive to thermal gradient.

Requirements

Three things this industry actually demands

Each of these changes the final configuration — this is not industry boilerplate.

01

Uniformity decides yield — not the maximum temperature

Every extra degree of spread across the chamber compounds both surface figure error and stress birefringence. So the first specification to settle is uniformity across the effective heating zone; the maximum temperature only has to be sufficient.

02

The cooling ramp often matters more than the heating ramp

Cooling rate through the annealing range maps directly to residual stress. The failures we see on site are rarely "cannot reach temperature" — they are profiles distorted by too-fast cooling or heat stored in the structure bleeding back into the load.

03

Fixturing contaminates the thermal field

Setters, fixtures and racks each add thermal mass and conduction paths that create local gradients around the part. Loading has to be part of the calculation; an empty-chamber uniformity figure on its own means nothing.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What uniformity can your optical lens annealing furnaces hold?

We quote measured figures from furnaces we have actually delivered rather than catalogue values. What your lens diameter, load size and target cycle can hold has to be worked out case by case — send the workpiece drawing and the temperature profile and we will calculate against your conditions instead of quoting a generic number.

Do you build optical fibre drawing furnaces?

Yes — the GS-1000GX optical-fibre drawing furnace is one of our custom deliveries. The critical points are stability of the hot zone and the purity and service life of the graphite components.

Tell us your process conditions

Temperature, atmosphere, material and part size are enough for us to suggest a furnace type and draft a proposal.
